Holiday Visualization is a great technique for relaxation and also has the added bonus of aligning your subconscious with the frequency of your dream holiday. You will need at least 30 minutes to enter a state of deep relaxation from which this technique is most effective. Begin by setting aside a time when you will not be interrupted and are free to enter the dream state.

Find a comfortable position and play calming music or your holiday playlist, depending on what resonates with you. Close your eyes and take several deep breaths, while repeating the affirmation “I am ready to explore the world.” Thank the Universe for opening your mind’s eye, where you will see your future and experience your dream holiday before it has even happened.
Allow yourself to relax deeply and focus your mind on the images floating through your consciousness. Who are you with? Feel the presence of your travel partner, or revel in your feelings of independence and decide where you would like to go first. If you see several images, try to take your mind on a journey that links them all together.

For example, you might see a bonfire on the beach at night, a sunlit cruise through crystal clear blue waters and a lantern festival. Now imagine these in a detailed sequence from start to finish, focusing on your feelings of excitement and joy. First, see yourself arriving at your dream destination dressed in your holiday attire and pulling your suitcase.

Now imagine being led to a beautiful hotel room where you will be staying. Perhaps there is a little chocolate and a flower on your pillow. Envision yourself walking to the window and admiring the exquisite view. What will you do next? Perhaps you want to head straight back out the door without even unpacking, to enjoy that cocktail under the palm tree.

See yourself watching the waves and feel the wind and sun on your skin. Breathe in the smell of the ocean and watch the sun go down. Now imagine that you see people carrying wood and notice that they are building a bonfire. Feel the excitement of your vision manifesting before your very eyes. Continue to watch as the fire dancers emerge and focus on the feelings of freedom and enjoyment. Stay by the bonfire for a while, and then imagine heading back to your hotel room for a good night’s sleep.

Picture yourself waking up the next morning and being greeted with a beautiful platter of fruit, and smiles from your travel partner. Envision nibbling the fruit on the little verandah adjoined to your bedroom, whilst sipping your coffee or tea. Now imagine your excitement at suggesting to your travel partner that you should go and explore. Feel their enthusiasm as you head out the door towards your new adventure.

As you stroll through the hotel towards the beach, you notice a small little stand with a sign marked “cruises”. Picture yourself jumping for joy as you say to your friend “I manifested this!” and then see yourself signing up for the day cruise which is leaving in five minutes! Imagine boarding the boat and finding a comfortable seat. See yourself smiling as you cruise through the beautiful blue waters laughing and carefree.

Continue to visualize the rest of the holiday, day by day, hour by hour, and enjoy the sensation of travelling to exotic locations in your mind! One detailed visualization session such as this is powerful enough to manifest your dream holiday, but it is such an enjoyable experience you will want to do it whenever you get the chance!
